We launched some COFFEE!
UPDATE: Our Nicaragua coffee has come to an end. Stay tuned for our next launch.
Drinking coffee and talking watches has been our little tag line. The idea was to set the scene of the type of content that Bark & Jack is about: relaxed, conversational and for everyone.
I've always wanted to launched some Bark & Jack coffee, but it's a tricky thing to do. Then I met Miles Fisher - actor, entrepreneur, watch geek and coffee wizard. He co-founded Bixby Roasting Co. in California with his buddy Remington. After a lot of playing about with coffee, and talking watches of course, I chose a single origin coffee to launch as our first B&J coffee - Nicaragua.
Great coffee starts with freshly roasted beans, but you know that already. Lucky for you, the beans you're holding aren't just any kind of freshly roasted beans. These are specifically roasted, single-origin, grown 2,400ft up on the side of a Nicaraguan mountain kind of beans. They're also grown next to tobacco and cocoa, which means your coffee gets just the right amount of nutty and chocolatey notes.

Hi Adrian, so I watched Oisin give thumbs up! So, as a Seattlite and grown up in NY Italian Neighborhood, I know coffee for sure. I have an Expobar and Mazzer grinder, and weigh my beans between 16 to 18 grams for doubles. The lighter blends are heavier, so you need more volume in your portafilter. Anyway, I ordered a bag. You should also, for your next coffee, sell a lighter blend. Lighter blends have a more true flavor profile. Darker blends, tend to show off the roast flavors, different than the notes on the lighter stuff.
Finally, maybe do a show on a great history of railroad pocket watches. I just picked up a Hamilton 950B Railway Special from 1947! Love it.
Best,
