Tudor Pelagos FXD (M25707B) - Strap Guide: Size, Fit & Best Straps

Watch Overview

The Tudor Pelagos FXD (M25707B) is one of the most distinctive watches in Tudor's modern collection. Developed in collaboration with the French Navy's Marine Nationale, it takes the Pelagos platform and adapts it for a more specialised purpose - timed underwater navigation. The most obvious difference is found in the name itself: FXD refers to the fixed strap bars machined directly into the titanium case.

While most dive watches are designed around a bracelet, the FXD was designed from the outset to be worn on a one piece or pass through strap. Combined with its lightweight titanium construction, fully brushed finish and military-inspired design, it has become one of the most strap-friendly watches in Tudor's catalogue.

Although Tudor has since expanded the FXD family with black-dial, GMT, cycling and Alinghi Red Bull Racing variants, the original blue Marine Nationale model remains the purest expression of the concept.

Strap Size & Fit

The Tudor Pelagos FXD (M25707B) has a lug width of 22mm.

Unlike a traditional watch, the FXD's fixed strap bars mean that conventional two-piece straps cannot be fitted. Instead, the watch is designed to be worn on single-piece pass-through straps.

For many owners, this is part of the appeal. The combination of a lightweight titanium case and a well-made fabric strap creates an exceptionally comfortable watch that feels secure on the wrist whether you're travelling, swimming or simply wearing it day to day.

If you're choosing a strap for the Pelagos FXD, you'll need a 22mm single-piece strap.

Best Strap Pairings For The Tudor Pelagos FXD

With hundreds of possible combinations, we've selected four pairings that we think work particularly well with the Pelagos FXD. These aren't the only options that suit the watch, but they're the combinations we'd recommend starting with.

Tidal Blue Ribbed Nylon

There’s a reason that Tudor shipped the Pelagos FXD MN with two blue straps – when it comes to safe choices - blue is hard to beat.

That’s where our Tidal Blue Ribbed Nylon comes in – offering a slightly different shade to the OEM straps while still complementing the dial and maintaining the military aesthetic that defines the FXD. It’s also one of our toughest weaves, so it’s a pairing that feels completely natural on the watch and one that many owners will return to time and again.

Moor Olive Tubular Nylon

For those looking to emphasise the military origins of the FXD, Moor Olive is an obvious choice.

The combination of olive fabric and titanium feels purposeful and practical, reinforcing the Marine Nationale inspiration behind the watch and provides a modern nod to vintage parachute straps without appearing overly tactical.

Stone Grey Ribbed Nylon

Grey is arguably one of the most versatile strap colours – period - and that doesn’t change when it comes to suitability for the FXD.

The lighter tone of our Stone Grey Ribbed Nylon works well alongside the brushed titanium case and creates subtle contrast against the blue dial. It gives the watch a slightly more understated appearance while remaining true to its tool-watch roots.

Natural Beige Seventy30

A beige/sand coloured strap completely changes the character of the FXD.

The lighter tone creates contrast against the dial and bezel while giving the watch a more relaxed appearance. It's an excellent choice during the summer months and works particularly well with the warm tones from the titanium case when in natural light.

Our Recommended Straps For The Pelagos FXD

Adrian's Pick

If I had to choose a single strap for the Pelagos FXD, it would be the Stone Grey Ribbed Nylon.

The grey tone complements the brushed titanium case beautifully while providing just enough contrast against the blue dial and bezel. It feels understated, practical and entirely in keeping with the purpose-built nature of the watch.

While blue or green are perhaps the most obvious choices given the colour palette of the watch and the military connections, Stone Grey Ribbed Nylon is the strap I find myself returning to most often.

Looking For Something Different?

If you prefer a more playful look, brighter colours such as Harvest Yellow Ribbed Nylon can work surprisingly well against the FXD's blue dial and titanium case.

Final Thoughts

The Tudor Pelagos FXD is one of the few watches that feels completely at home on a fabric strap. In many ways, that's exactly how it was intended to be worn.

Its lightweight titanium construction, fixed strap bars and military heritage make it an ideal platform for experimenting with different colours and strap styles. Whether you prefer the versatility of Stone Grey, the military character of Moor Green, the understated look of Tidal Blue, the relaxed feel of Natural Beige or even the unexpected contrast of Harvest Yellow, each pairing brings out a different side of the watch.

The beauty of the FXD is that there isn't a single correct answer. Finding the right strap is simply a matter of discovering which version of the watch best suits your style and how you wear it.
